Many, many thanks to my Work BFF (who will now be known as Photo Guy for the purposes of this blog), for showing me how to correctly use -- and not use -- the flash on my camera. Check out the pretty little finch we were able to capture from my living room window today. It's pretty sad that I've owned this camera for nearly four years and only today discovered all of its wonderful features. Hopefully my photos will be much better moving forward.

It's amazing all the things you can learn about the stuff you own when you have entirely toooooo much time on your hands.
But basically, it just sucks.

your camera may have a movie feature, so maybe you can capture some live action too :)
